Courtney joined the non-profit sector in 2009 where she worked as a Fiscal Sponsorship/ Finance Manager. There, Courtney gained the knowledge and the skills for non-profit grant management and compliance, as well issue based community advocacy, and digital fundraising. Throughout her tenure at in the non-profit sector, Courtney helped and encouraged over 35 non-profit startups through their infancy stages by providing accounting and business management guidance and strategies.

 

Watching many of these up and coming non-profits flourish in their unique and empowering advocacy areas, she was inspired to create change herself. Courtney noticed that there was still a need for community outreach regarding support for women facing challenging circumstances, as well as violence against women. Courtney believed that these issues were overlooked and underrepresented. As a result, Courtney used her personal experience and passion to create change in the lives of women, to form 4 HER Women's Network, Inc. in September 2015. 4 Her Women's Network is  a non profit organization created to help, empower, and restore women who have faced challenging circumstances by providing resources, seminars and networking opportunities.
