Paint Away Pain Event

The “Paint away Pain” event was inspired by a group of my closest girlfriends. We had a girls day out which included much laughter, conversations, and bonding as we individually painted on empty canvases. Although we were given the same picture to reference while we painted it was clear early on that we each had different perspectives, different techniques, and insecurities while completing our tasks. We all had those moments where we peaked over our shoulders at each other’s painting to see if we were “doing it right” and we immediately realized that none of us were experts. Getting the opportunity to spend time with my girlfriends to creatively cultivate our relationships was extremely beneficial, healing, and therapeutic. Through our differences, we were each able to create something unique and beautiful!
